How we turn raw information into a defensible view
Yelkor Blenvo does not predict markets or issue calls. We document a repeatable method for gathering, weighing, and presenting evidence — so the reasoning behind any conclusion can be inspected, questioned, and replicated.
This page describes method, not outcome. It does not guarantee accuracy, performance, or suitability for any individual decision.
We assume we could be wrong
Every piece of analysis begins from a position of scepticism rather than conviction. Instead of building a thesis and searching for support, we define the question first, specify what data would confirm or contradict it, and only then look.
This ordering matters. It reduces the temptation to cherry-pick information that fits a story that already feels true. When a conclusion survives this process, it is because the evidence held up — not because the evidence was chosen to fit.
The result is rarely a single confident answer. More often it is a bounded range, a set of conditions, and a list of what would change the picture.
Five stages, applied in order
Each piece of analysis moves through the same sequence. Skipping a stage, or reordering it, is treated as a flaw in the process worth flagging — not a shortcut worth taking.
-
01 — Framing
Define the question precisely
Vague questions produce vague answers. We write down exactly what is being assessed, over what timeframe, and against what alternative — before touching any data.
-
02 — Sourcing
Gather from independent inputs
We draw on multiple, separately-sourced datasets and disclosures rather than a single feed, so that one bad input cannot quietly dominate the result.
-
03 — Weighing
Score evidence, not opinions
Inputs are weighted by reliability and recency, not by how strongly they support a preferred outcome. Contradictory evidence is kept in view rather than discarded.
-
04 — Testing
Look for ways to break the conclusion
Before anything is published, we actively search for the counter-case — the data point, assumption, or scenario that would undo the finding.
-
05 — Disclosure
Show the working, not just the result
Every output links back to the reasoning and inputs behind it, including what was uncertain, what was excluded, and why.
What this changes about the output
Where uncertainty is wide, the output reflects that directly rather than collapsing it into a false sense of precision.
Any assumption that materially affects a conclusion is stated plainly, so it can be challenged rather than taken on trust.
Source data is kept distinct from the commentary built on top of it, so each can be evaluated on its own terms.
Conclusions are reviewed as new information arrives. A view held last month is not assumed to still hold today.
What the method does not claim
A disciplined process reduces certain kinds of error — bias, inconsistency, missing context — but it does not eliminate uncertainty, and it does not produce forecasts that are guaranteed to be correct. Markets and the information describing them are both imperfect.
Yelkor Blenvo presents research outputs as structured inputs to a decision, not as instructions. Anyone using this material should treat it as one factor among several, apply their own judgement, and consider seeking independent financial advice where appropriate.
